Project Brief: To create a website that promotes the used car dealer AA Family Motors, and the cars for sale they have. The website is to show case specials in a scroller that are editable via an easy to use content management system. Visitors to be able to enquire via a form for each car with the details emailed through for follow up. The website must be able to take finance applications from visitors, as well as a contact form and ‘find a car’ form.
Due to this highly competitive market, and the rising cost of advertising used cars on 3rd party website’s, search engine optimisation is very important.
The client had a very ‘dated’ static website that was in need of modernisation, and could handle the advances in good website design available today. The website was built with a content management system that allows for uploading new articles of interest, and each article is optimised for maximum results with the major search engines. There is a dynamic section for the used cars in the scroller, and an article section that is loaded via the cms. There is also a blog, and because of the importance placed on social networking from the major search engines there is a Twitter page and Facebook page, that are updated regularly.
The home page of the website design displays a rss feed, and links to all important sections and pages.
The website via the cms, allows for easy editing, of pages, as well as posting new articles, and contains every tool imaginable; even the kitchen sink!
Visitors can easily make a finance enquire, make an enquiry about a car on the website, and request a car to be found for them within certain criteria.
Each page includes search engine optimisation for frequently searched keywords, a link building strategy for the website in general. Many of the chosen keywords have the website number 1,2 and 3 with all the major search engines, and the site now places amongst the largest car websites in Australia, making it an invaluable tool for saving money, dramatically cutting advertising costs; as well as increasing enquiry and sales.
The site also includes an email newsletter marketing tool to keep in touch with prospects and customers on a regular basis.
